Thank you ' GODO ' :D , and to you as well. (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

happy passover, good friday, and eid to all... :P

i'm back from morocco as of last night!boohoo... :crying: i had a wonderful time visiting my fiance but in some ways im glad to be home!i was sooooooo tired of eating moroccan food (we went to pizza hut twice. haha!!!) and there is a huge taxi strike happening in all of morocco so we had no way to get around other than bus for the last four days of my time there! the government changed the driving laws if you get into a minor accident they take your license away..and if more, you go to prison!so all the drivers are up in arms and they are trying to resolve this situation. what a mess!

anyway we had a great time. i shopped for wedding dresses...then decided to shop for fabric and have mine made for me instead. can't wait to see how it turns out!

hope all had a great two weeks! now its back to work and sleeping alone for me! but good news my fiance got his interview for may 2nd! :energetic: yayyyyyyyyyyyy... he doesn't graduate school until july and was going to come then, but now he wants to just come NOW. i wish, but i think finishing his degree is a much better choice.

have a good weekend all! i'll be here...reading everything i missed! :reading:

There is a wonderful passion play every year in the streets surrounding the cathedral in downtown San Antonio. I love these traditional and cultural expressions. They are getting fewer and far between here in the US it seems. Where's MK this morning? She'll know more to add to this.

Thousands march through Via Dolorosa to mark Good Friday

Jerusalem - Thousands of pilgrims marched through the Old City of Jerusalem's Via Dolorosa to mark Good Friday by following the route Christians believe Jesus took on his way to the cross. The crowd included many tourists from Roman Catholic countries such as Spain and Italy but also Greek Orthodox pilgrims and local Palestinian and Arab-Israeli Christians.

Some of carried either small or man-sized wooden crosses, gathered at the first of 14 traditional stations along the Via Dolorosa (Road of Pain).

The station, outside the Omariyeh elementary school near the walled Old City's Lion's Gate, is thought to mark the place where Jesus was condemned to death.

Citing the Ave Maria prayer, the march set off toward other stations along the route, marking the locations where Jesus is thought to have fallen several times and met his Mother Mary, before it is to end in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site where according to Christian tradition Jesus was crucified and buried.

In a yearly tradition, the church's doors were unlocked by a member of the Muslim family that has held the key for centuries.

Hundreds of Israeli police patrolled the Old City of Jerusalem's alleys to secure the event, marked by both the Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox Church on the same day this year.

i took a picture of this dress through a window in a shop. i LOVED this dress and would have bought it immediately had it been almost any other color than black. black is actually my favorite color but i thought it would be a bad idea for a wedding. ;)

so i chose some fabrics and my fiance's mom has a wonderful seamstress who will have it copied for me to look the same! what do you all think?!

Welcome back Jen ! Edited to add: that's a beautiful dress.... can't wait to see your version.

Morning MBP ! Yes indeedy.... San Antonio holds an incredible Passion Play each year -- we have our very own (Via) Dolorosa Street downtown and the procession actually travels down it, complete with a bloody guy carrying a cross, people dressed as Roman Centurions "whipping" him, crying crowds, etc. It is quite the spectacle. Back with some pics in a moment....

This may not quite be in the spirit of "Good Friday" but sometimes people just get to me. Moh was riding his bike yesterday and a car with 4 guys passed him yelling insults and threw a can of soda at him. It hit him in the face causing him to take a spill. I just can't quite wrap myself around this. I know "intellectually" this kind of RUBBISH exists in the minds of human beings, but when you come face to face with how UGLY people can be... I still want to vomit. Bet the same b*stards are sitting in church with their mommas come Sunday morning.
