Hello,

I'm scheduled to have an interview at U.S embassy in 3 weeks and medical exams in 1week.

If I'm tested positive for syphilis, is the interview going to be postponed until it's treated by civil surgeons, or will I be classified as class A and denied visa at the time of interview which already is scheduled?

My spouse found out yesterday she has syphilis (she got infected years ago, took medication as directed so she assumed it was cured but i guess not), so i was going to go to the clinic for testing but they said result won't be available til my medical exam day.

So I decided to just wait until my medical exam day to find out if I'm positive for syphilis or not.

I would also like to know the answer to this. If they found syphilis or another std or something on your lungs. Do they give you a chance to take antibiotics and retake the medical test once you're ready? Or do they automatically deny you a Visa?

I tested positive for gonrrhea and was called by my doctor office to go back and get the treatment, they send the paper stating I took the correct and supervised treatment and according to the panel physician that should be enough, Im still nervous about it thought, my interview is on Nov. 29th

They will not approve the visa... you need to treat and once is cured should retake the medical and reschedule the interview
