Did you send return or transcripts? If you sent return then yes definitely... if you sent transcripts... maybe ... you're not supposed to

Tax return transcript are the ones where you don't have to send W2's, 1090's with since it's a complete summary!

 The difference between a tax return and a tax transcript is that the transcript from the IRS and verification that the tax return was indeed filed thereby verifying the income earned. This is why transcripts are preferred.

 

W-2s are required with tax returns because they prove income where is the tax return could just be simply filled out and never sent it It alone doesn't really prove income.

Tax returns. The 1040, the one I got after filing taxes are the ones I sent  How do i get my w2's? do i have to pay and order it? I really don't know.

Yeah W2's are the ones you get from the employer.

thanks. i couldnt find my w2's from 2014 to 2015. i have the 2013. is there any other way? or if i get a tax transcript, is there a fee?

Which is exactly what I said.... yet plenty of ppl are asked for it in rfe's.... it's one of those things where some ppl are asked to provide smth that shouldn't be required...

Yes. create an account or IRS.com and request your transcript online on this website; https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript You can print it out for free

You can also request past w2's from your employer if you so wish.
