Hello everyone, so my faincé and I are planning on starting our K1 process soon but I have a couple doubts regarding what is accepted to prove the relationship is in good faith/ongoing.

He came to visit me after the holidays and that's when we decided to start this process.

Both oof us are a little introvert and shut in, he doesn't have any form of social media and I rarely use my facebook (with only 5 friends on it). I know it's advised to have e-mails and chat logs but for most of our long distance relationship our contact has been through VoIP mediums such as Viber or Discord which kinda limits that option, however I do have a couple of logs stating our intent to move together/marry. I also have the mail receipt of a Christmas gift he sent me in 2014 so I wonder if all of this would be enough in the eyes of the USCIS or more is needed.

Any advice would be appreciated since we're a bit afraid of ruining our chances, thank you.

Really just put in what you can for the petition.

The petition does not require too much in sense of evidence like that. Just add what you can. We only used 10 screen shots of messages showing a time line with our iMessages; but most was on FaceTime so not very traceable really.

Start being mindful of this going forward though for the interview phase for ongoing proof of relationship.

Thank you all for your responses, they are really helpful but I have another question regarding the filling of form G-325a, mostly because of mexican naming customs are: Name(s)/Paternal Last Name/Maternal Last Name

So should I put both of my last names on it or just my paternal last name? Thanks again.

What do your legal documents say? Your forms and legal docs need to add up.

Yes put both of your last names. I did that too and it worked fine for me.

For this part of the process you only need to prove that you met in person at least once in the past 2 years (photos of you together and passport stamps, boarding tickets, etc.). It should be enough. But from now on, you definitely need to be start collecting evidence. If you plan on seeing each other in person again, definitely get pictures together (helps to take some in different landmarks and such...). If you are recluse and don't see lots of people that's fine, but you could have pictures of you with each other's family. That's really good evidence. I know a lot of people send chat logs and emails (so did I) but when I got an RFE it specifically said that those aren't evidence and that photos are, so be sure to have some and don't rely on texts/chat logs.
