I-130 Bona Fida Marriage Evidence

I just filed an I-130 for my wife who lives in Iran after I got married there last month and feel I may be week on bona fida marriage evidence. I included a lot of evidence on our relationship which went over 18 months (airline tickets of trips we went together, pictures while traveling together, Visa stamps, chat history) and my marriage certificate and wedding pictures. I didn't include any affidavits (as I read somewhere they are not that important) and I did not have any evidence of financial co-mingling as we just got married.

 

FYI, I also included evidence of my first marriage divorce certificate in USA.

 

Is the above evidence good enough?

Welcome to the journey of waiting. You have listed some solid Bona Fide evidence. Unfortunately, no one can tell you for sure if they will ask for more or how they would evaluate what you sent. It is all about matter of waiting patiently to find out. I would urge you to complete your timeline so you would get an estimation of your NOA2.

I realize you just got married, but you might want to consider obtaining and including the following financial evidence (NOT just for USCIS, but these are good steps to take following a marriage period) --

 

1. Have any financial accounts (your IRA, savings, brokerage account)? Make your spouse the beneficiary and include proof!
2. Have any death benefits or life insurance? Make your spouse the beneficiary and include proof!

Also, while affidavits are generally considered to be less important types of evidence, I would encourage you to include (i) a joint affidavit from your spouse and you outlining your relationship (from courtship to present day), and (ii)  one affidavit each from someone on both sides of your families. I believe that affidavits for couples from MENA and South Asian countries is slightly important since it helps establish that you have approval from both sides of your families regarding your marriage.

Affidavits don't count for much, try adding spouse as beneficiary on various insurance policies.

Please put in your profile which country the beneficiary is coming from. This matters.

You probably need something more,either insurance or financial mingling.

We did include affidavits since we don't have a lot of evidence either, (just married as well) 

oddly enough my first CR1 we didn't front load or send anything besides marriage certificate/passport photos, and it still was approved, no RFEs. Of course it was years ago, so things are changing, fast. Unfortunately the process is a little all over the place, some people might get accepted with less, some will require more. the more evidence you provide the better.
