K1 Visa - Kenya

Hi everyone!

 

I am Sedona, the petitioner, and my Fiance Thomas and I are working on our K1 Visa. Our visa arrived at the US Embassy in Nairobi last week and we received the confirmation email from the embassy a few days ago. But we are a little confused on what to do now? We completed the DS160 and now we are trying to make the payment but it only vaguely states to make the payment through Mpesa or Post Bank. No routing number or account number.

 

When we followed the link in the email it sent us to  https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-KE/iv/schedule/16395476/applicants/new . We made an account and when we try and register it states that our "Visa is not ready to schedule an appointment". Is this because we have not paid the application fee yet? If so, how do you pay it! hahah. 

 

Cant find any info on the US Embassy website, and the details and instructions from here on out are not stated or explained very well. Help!

Hello, did you get an answer to your question? I think you first select Immigrant Visa, then K1 (confusing because the K1 is a NON-immigrant visa WITH immigrant intent). Then the system generates a PDF for MPesa. It is through Citibank, After you pay on the phone they give you a confirmation number, but it takes a day for Citibank to validate it in the USvisa-info site. Then you cna schedule an interview.

hi Sedona,

 Am in the same situation like yours, kindly let me know if you found out any information on how to make  payments. i missed out paying for my visa the first time because the systems were down in the post bank . we want to generate new payment instructions but we have failed totally . please any information will be appreciated . thanking you in advance
