Well this update on our status may help.  They called my husband back to the embassy for a follow up interview where they informed him that his visa was refused until January 9, 2018 which is one year after his initial medical. When they received his medical report it showed that he had marijuana in his system so that was the basis for his refusal.  They will reschedule him for another embassy interview in roughly a year from his initial one and he will have to re-do his medical prior to that new interview date.

Anyone know how the interview was scheduled after the 1 year? Do we contact the to schedule or wait to hear from them? I believe we have to wait to schedule the medical for a year after the initial one was done. Can anyone confirm that?

If you know your eligibility date you can contact the embassy and inquire about a second interview.  We did not wait for them.
