yes is it normal in my country in this case the female is older.

to me it would look like a scam, considering how difficult your Embassy is and how much fraud there is in DR, sorry, no offense.

I am 55 USA M, she is 40 Philippines F.   It's not problem at all for us.

That said, I have seen 65-70 year old men marry 18-23 year old filipinas... While OK, "maybe" in the Philippines for whatever reason it is. (Often it is a way to help her, her family, and her to have "security" later in life too???) What in common could a guy 65+ have with anyone marriage wise that is 18-23?  I mean music, culture, life experience, let alone physical drive to be there 10-20 years from now when she has your kids. Good luck with that...  To just be honest, you will not be here maybe when she needs you the most.

I'm just not to sure looks (or will ever look right) in the USA, ever.  Unless your Hugh Hefner, of Playboy fame.  The women of Playboy accept the "rules and living conditions" and sign a contract as well.  hahahahahahaha

If you are anywhere near this, stay in the Philippines.  My Two cents.

I think the unofficial "man rule" in the USA is.... After your 30.... is to take the mans age... divide by 2 and add 7.

So 30 /2 = 15 + 7 = 22 years for her.   That's the lowest you you should go... Unofficially, of course...

39-24 is the age.

This is probably fine.

Depends on the Embassy and if you have any other red flags, such as the woman in the relationship is older than the man and out of childbearing age. My husband and I are 16 years apart and we passed through the embassy interview with flying colors. Just bring solid evidence and you'll do fine

you are also from sweden!!!

i am 9yrs younger then my husband! but i am canadian!!! you can probably be a 60 year old USC female and a 20 year old Canadian  and have zero problems!!!!

age is culture/religion and embassay specific

it is very very normal for a young phillipino woman to marry and older american! security or not, the relationships dont end abruptly.

their is no unofficial/official man rule! certain countries that are religious have a certain view point.... many people marry, divorce, get citizenship and bring over their real wife.

american women are different - they like older men for $$ but not necessarily to marry. hahah yup! u dont need playboy now because you have enough instagram models:)

Make sure you save your boarding passes from the flights, visa entry cards, any receipts from hotels or car rentals, passport stamps

You're welcome, what visa are you applying for?
