I miss scrolling through a forum and reading. I don't like click on the bottom of the screen for every post it is so time consuming can we change it back to the old way.

Are you getting all the posts appearing so you have to click on them one by one to read them? That happened to me a few weeks ago, and was driving me insane (it was fine if I wasn't signed in, but when I signed in, it switched to that weird layout)... I was going to ask about it on here, but then it went back to normal. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be like that (if it should, then I'm the odd one out, because I can scroll through posts as normal) - maybe someone can shed some light on why this happens and how to make it appear as normal again?

Go to the top of this thread. Click on options. Then Display Mode. You want it on standard setting to view all of the posts. This gives you the option to view the page as you want it. For example all posts or the condensed only etc etc

This is exactly what I mean, wadr E...I'm not the one who turned this into a flag discussion. That was actually you. It was actually meant as a serious discussion, and if you were concerned with the veering off the original topic, then I feel you should have moved the derailment instead of editing my title. Or not caused the derailment in the first place. I realize you prolly don't like what I had to say, but disrespecting it by responding 'hey you like the flags?' and totally ignoring what I said wasn't that nice.

Isn't "hate" a rather strong word for all of this?

Not just that, but where were all the 'haters' when we were having the lonnnnng discussion about the new subforum? Not to mention the chat last Friday night (which I wasn't even at)?

I never realized that moving threads was so hated - particularly when there is a link to the moved thread in the old forum.

Well your just used to going to that thread and finding the lastest post. It is just a commom proceduer you are use to. I have seen nothing wrong with the old VJ it was working fine. Slow down the changes please.

But seriously, the 'new forum' that's apparently causing such chaos and confusion has been around now for a whole week. I dunno, what's say we give it a little more time and see how people adjust to it - and if it has cleared up the K1 forum for other topics - before we swoon and faint about how terrible it is and how much change we suddenly have to endure?

Besides - we had a 20 something page thread discussion about it - where were all the decries about change? Its not as if I suggested it and Ewok automatically did it two minutes later. I consider us lucky to be able to suggest things, debate them and then possibly have our suggestions carried out - but maybe that's a bad thing. *shrug*

No need to be sorry - I just don't understand what we can do about it now -- other than dissolve the new subforum, only after a week.

Believe it or not, I didn't suggest it to irritate people. I was actually trying to make VJ better.

If we can come to an agreement that it sucks - just as we came to the agreement that we should give it a whirl - that's fine by me!
