Hello all :)

Can someone please tell me what the deal is with getting a loan/car finance in America when you're entering the country on a K1 Visa.

I am moving to Florida and I want to get a car when I arrive but I may not be able to save up enough cash in time to get something decent.

Thanks!

Can your fiance obtain or cosign a loan for you? Would be the easiest method.

Well... a car dealer can provide you with financing, but you'll likely need a co-signer with good credit, and an okay down-payment to get a fair interest rate. My mother-in-law helped me with this. You'll also need to start building your credit score so a car financing can be good for this.

Thanks for the replies :)

My fiance has said he will co-sign a loan to help me get a car.

Not sure what your concern is, you can get a car for few hundred bucks. And when you are rich and famous get a Tesla.
