We have ten "official" holidays but most of us work through a lot of them since all of our vacation/sick/holiday/personal time is lumped into "earned time". So...if I work through Patriot's Day, which is one of our official holidays, I am saving 8 of my earned time hours for whenever I want to take them. The only reason they really declare the holidays is so they'll know when to pay the nurses, et al, differential pay.

12/28/06 - got married :)

02/05/07 - I-130 NOA1

02/21/07 - I-129 NOA1

04/09/07 - I-130 and I-129F approval email sent!!!!

04/26/07 - Packet 3 received

06/16/07 - Medical Examination

06/26/07 - Packet 3 SUBMITTED FINALLY!!!!

07/07/07 - Received pkt 4

07/22/07 - interview consular never bothered to show up for work.

07/29/07 - interview.

Well I live in a Mormon State and they don't believe in Christ dying and coming back. Everyone at work said Good Friday is "just another day!" One guy actually said, There's no such thing as Good Friday that his religion is the onlyreligion that matters and to "get over it". :unsure:

It's funny how everyone in my office said its a regular day but all of them took the day off! The only ones in the office today were Myself and a Catholic Girl. Hmmmmm !

I actually never felt more homesick then today. :crying: I miss The whole Easter celebration, church, communion, family dinner etc....

I felt like all the shopkeepers here ( most are mormon) were such hyprocrites when they said "Have a Happy Easter to me. Ya right!

Nov. 25th/05 recieved EAD card

Nov.30th. recieved AP Papers in mail

Dec. 08th/05 Recieved Snail mail letter for AOS Interview Feb 15th 7:40 AM.

Feb. 15th. /06 AOS Interview SUCCESS !!!! no more to deal with for another 2 yrs!

Feb. 27th./06 Recieved Greencard in the mail

August 4th/06 Our First Wedding Anniversary !!

Feb. 8th 08 Sent in Packet to remove conditions

Feb 23rd 08 Recieve NOA letter stating they are extending my Greencard for another year.

March 11th 08 biometrics appt.

May 29th 08 recieved email stating Card production ordered

June 7th 2008 10 yr card recieved.

My husband got the 4 day weekend, but my work dont see Good Friday as a holiday.

So I took PTO for Friday and Monday :thumbs:

K-1/K-2 AOS APPROVED IN ATLANTA MAY 17, 2006

10 year GC Approved - APRIL 16th ,2009 - Peggy and Jonathan's......

Still waiting for our cards...Had to file I-90 as they sent them to the wrong address.

March 9th, 2010, Received GC that has been lost in the mail for 10 months. Still waiting for my son's that is lost as well.

Filed Waiver for my son's 10 year GC and it was approved. He finally received his GC after its been missing for 2 years.

Thanking God this is over for 10 years.

I worked today here in Missouri and will work also on Monday. But for The Netherlands and Puerto Rico it's a long weekend :thumbs:
