No Notice Date or Received Date on NOA1 for AOS, EMPLOYMENT AUTH and ADVANCE PAROLE

I think you guys may be worrying about nothing. I received my NOA1 in January (see timeline) and of the boxes at the top, 'notice date', 'received date', 'priority date', 'preference classification' and 'date of birth' were all blank. Only the 'notice type', 'case type', 'USCIS alien number' and 'receipt number' were filled out.

I think they use the same NOA1 form for people filing for AOS from different types of visas. So people filing from a work or tourist visa may have different boxes filled out. I was filing from a K1 visa, and my receipt/case number works on the USCIS website, I received my biometrics appointment letter in February as expected... everything is fine. I was confused about the 'notice date' being blank, but it doesn't seem to have caused any issues.

Note that on my biometrics appointment letter it also had blank boxes: 'social security number' (even though I have one), 'account number', and 'TCR'. The only boxes filled out were 'application number', 'notice date', 'case type', 'USCIS A#', 'code' and 'service center'.

Good to know :)

We have the same case and I'm also done with biometrics. However these noa dates are important to me cos my i-94 has expired and I can't get any USA id amymore so I would like to carry my noa's all the time together with my marriage certificate because of all the ICE arrests. I look Hispanic, and I see on tv that they arrest mostly Hispanics. I just want to be on the safe side and have something in purse that can tell them what my status is.

I understand your concern. It would definitely be easier if USCIS put dates on the NOA1! I was just trying to say that I don't think the lack of a date is a mistake. I think it's normal for it not to have a date, for some reason.

Could you print out your case status from the USCIS website, and carry that with you too?

I agree with Jessica. My I-94 is about to expire and i have NOAs with no date on them. if I need to prove my immigration status without anything that is dated, for me it will be perceived as invalid which poses a problem.

Dowbs-  my case status is coming up as invalid on the website, I called USCIS and was told the same thing that its invalid and that they cannot find anything. If I could access my case status online it would have solved the problem because it would have the received date and Iwould have printed that out and kept it as a backup but I not able to do that.

I have nothing to prove the date it was received and accepted.

I understand some may feel that I'm stressing for nothing but I have 2 issues here. The bigger one now being that even USCIS cannot access my case status on their system and being told its showing invalid.

I guess I will wait and see what happens tomorrow at the info pass appointment

Sure, I was just trying to reassure you that the lack of dates on your NOA1 might not be a problem. In fact, I think it's normal.

I get why your case status coming up as invalid would be scary, but as others have said it does take a few days usually so I wouldn't panic yet. (I don't know when you received your NOA1 - today? Yesterday?) Anyway, you have an infopass appointment tomorrow so hopefully you can clear it all up then! :)

hello everyone!

I had my infopass appointment today and the issues have been resolved! The lady who was dealing with the issue was very nice. I was told it was an error on their end and  the dates are needed on the notice. She was very concerned about it. She contacted MSC and they sent her  duplicate copies of NOAs with the dates on them  via fax. Apparently the copies USCIS had were dated but it just didn't print on the original forms that were sent to me.

I would advise those who have the same problem  to make a infopass appointment if a office is nearby to obtain duplicate NOAs

Thank you Suss&Camm for your guidance  on scheduling an infopass appointment :) . I would never have known it existed if you did not tell me.

My husband is having the same problem. He got emails for all three notices (on 2/16), we only received two hard copies (missing AP) and the other two do not have dates on them at all. The receipt numbers are also not recognized on USCIS.gov This worries me as he has a job waiting for him and we also wanted to take our honeymoon once we get AP!

There are no infopass appointments available (I'm in Austin TX) I'm getting a bit worried here!

Thanks for updating us! Even though my lack of notice dates hasn't been a problem so far, I've made an infopass appointment to get it sorted out anyway.

I've seen you live in Lewisville, I have the same problem with my NOA's, may I ask to which USCIS Office did you go?

Biometrics is a scheduled appointment you receive in the mail to go get fingerprinted and photographed for your immigration documents. This can be at a local USCIS office or a ASC (application support center) depending on what's in your area. You don't book this.

An InfoPass is an appointment you can book at a local USCIS office if you have queries you can't find the answer to anywhere else or you might have a problem with a document, such as an error and you can't get help elsewhere... there are more instances ofc where an InfoPass might be suitable.

One question about that, so if I have the same case and want to schedule an infopass appointment I have to schedule one with the local USCIS office or will an ASC be able to help me too in this matter? Thank you in advance

Thank you, thats what I did and then Austin pops up, which is just 1 hour away but which is also just an ASC, will they be able to help me or do they just make biometrics etc.

The local USCIS FIELD OFFICE closest to me would be in San Antonio, which is 2.5 h away, so I would be happy if I could use the one in Austin ^_^

Well yeah, the name of the place (ASC or field office) doesn't matter as long as they do infopasses. I don't think my local ASC office where I do my biometrics do any infopasses, I have to go to he field office instead.
