Case Transferred

My case was transferred to Potomac Service center and I was wondering how fast they are and how their processing time is looking like according to Visajourney.

Hello zizou2017. Our case is for my seven year old stepdaughter. It has already been four months at Potomac. According to the representative they are only processing I-130's from June 11, 2016. It has been this date for the past 2 months. Nothing has moved. Potentially since my date is October 27, 2016 I could have up to an additional five plus months of waiting. Although the representative would not be specific. I am a citizen and my wife a is a permanent resident. We filed using my citizenship to make the process easier. A lot of good that has done.

Well, it would really defeat the whole purpose of trying to speed up the process like they mentioned on the notice I received on the mail. Honestly, I learned it the hard way with immigration, you should always set the expectation very low with them. They say things one way and they execute them in different way. Good luck to you.
