Okay, here is what my package looks like:

  1. Cover Letter

  2. Form G-1145 e-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance

  3. A check for the amount of $535.00 to cover the filing fee

  4. Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative (signed and dated)

  5. Copies of petitioners identification

  6. Copies of relatives identification

  7. Copy of marriage certificate of petitioner and beneficiary

  8. Form G-325 for petitioner (signed and dated)

  9. Form G-325 for beneficiary (signed and dated)

  10. Two passport photos for petitioner (full name written on back of each picture)

  11. Two passport photos for relative (full name written on back of each picture)

  12. Evidence of bona fide marriage (with all supporting plane/bus tickets, joint account info, pictures and letters/cards)

  13. Relatives police clearance letter

  14. Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (with letter of employment, pay stubs for 4 months and 3 years tax statements)

I have removed everything from the binder I originally wanted to send in (because I read on here it shouldn't be in one) and clipped everything together with a large binder clip. I included tab dividers to separate each section and removed all staples I originally has on the pages (apparently that's a no no as well lol) Please tell me if I am missing anything!!! I want to send this thing out Saturday, but just need the extra assurance that its complete.

Thanks in advance <3

Yes, both of our birth certificates are included in the identification section. And I used the word "relative" because that's what the I-130 says =(

What would you recommend?

And thanks for the link!

Spouse, Foregin spouse, beneficiary

Okay then i would just make it more clear. USC birth certificate.

You can use what ever you like! It's says relative because it's also used for parents, siblings and children :)

All this is SMALL minor things that won't have effect on your application :)

  7. Copy of marriage certificate of petitioner and beneficiary

  9. Form G-325 for beneficiary (signed and dated)

  12. Evidence of bona fide marriage (with all supporting plane/bus tickets, joint account info, pictures and letters/cards)

  13. Relatives police clearance letter Not needed at this time; even if you include it now, you will have to resubmit it later; save yourself the trouble.

  14. Form I-864 Affidavit of Support (with letter of employment, pay stubs for 4 months and 3 years tax statements) This is not submitted at this juncture.  As I said before, even if you include it now, it won't matter, you will have to resubmit it at a later point in the process when it is called for.

Don't bother with the tab dividers either.  You also don't need any of the beneficiary's civil documents or any W2 forms.

OP will need to submit it during the NVC stage of the process; document intake occurs there during the spousal visa process.

About Police clearance certificate; it generally is only valid from six months to a year. You might need to make one again at a later stage. So, before you send PCC at NVC stage, remember to check the validity.

As someone has said, the police certificate will likely have expired by the time it is needed. Your I-130 is going to take around 6 months to be adjudicated, your case will then be sent to the NVC and it will be needed there but that's about 7 months away.

Likewise the I-864 will need to be redone because by then it will be after April 18 so it will need 2016 tax return information.

At this stage you are focusing on the petition - in other words your eligibility to sponsor an immigrant. You must satisfy USCIS that you are:

a) either a USC or an LPR

b) legally married to the person you are hoping to sponsor

c) married to that person for love and not to help them get into the country

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Thank You! that helps a lot, I will definitely make sure it isn't expires. I'm pretty sure the one I got is good for a year, but I also don't mind requesting another one at a later date (it was only $20CAD lol) I just figure they wont send it back for too much information submitted, so I'll just send what we have prepared, and if we have to re-send things for the next step we already have it all handy =) Thanks for your response!
