Spoke with USCIS today. I was informed that they are processing applications at the Potomac processing center from June 11, 2016 for I-130's. Which was updated today 02/21/2017. My I-130 was accepted 10/27/2016. Here we are almost 4 months into the process and the representative stated there was not a specific timeline for our case. I called in December prior to Christmas and they were working on June at that time. At this rate My seven year old stepdaughter from the Philippines could wait another five or six months just for the USCIS portion of the process. The next update will come 03/21/2017. I am sure there are others in the same situation. I just find it incredible that it took only five days to cash my check for $420. Our immigration system has failed us and needs an overhaul. I asked the representative, if I could give my daughters mobile number to her so she could call and explain why she has to wait so long to see her mother, father and newborn brother. She apologized for the wait. A lot of good that does for an innocent child.
