Wooow why it was so long? I can't believe you are waiting so long...

There is nothing you can do to expedite.     maybe embassy had a lot of applicants to schedule for Feb and March......

Each embassy has their own number of interview dates available for each class of immigrant every month, so the average wait to interview varies. Some embassies you have to wait several months for an interview even for a CR-1.

Thanks, I've also heard something about different classes of visas but it sounds ridiculous as they can't probably predict this.

For example my visa is employment based and as I know there are very-very-very few such visas from Ukraine. May be several people per months or even less. Why setting up the separate category? And if they have no such applicants at all they just leave empty slots? Because I think there are same officers who interview all types of cases... May be there is just some priority for some categories?

Those of us who already got interview dates, can you please check have your CEAC status changed from "At NVC" to "In Transit"?

I'm wondering is there any way to check interview assignment without a call.

AlexUA I checked already and mine still says at NVC I think it only changes when the NVC file has actually been transferred over to the Embassy it self....and the only way to find out about interview without calling (as far as I know) is to wait for the interview letter to be emailed which according to the representative I spoke to earlier said it can still be up to 10 business days. For me the wait to find out was worth it (40 minutes) as my husband needed to confirm his time off work by tomorrow and also because of airfare prices...it gives us more time to plan. WE ARE ALL ALMOST THERE!

Okay thanks, I got through to them yesterday. But the wait was ridiculous and i didn't get much of an update, just that my case is still under review. I have to stop calling in the evenings I think that's why I had to wait so long.

Next time I will call in the morning.  Thanks for the tip! :)

yeah most of the call they won't give us of a better reply other than still under review..

you are welcome and Good Luck on this journey. hoping you could hear some good news on your next call
