To reschedule interview? or not?

So my wife applied for her citizenship (n-400) in May of 2016. We've been waiting for her to receive the interview appointment. In the mean time, she had a few things happen at home in PI and she wanted to go visit her family. We booked a ticket for her to go on April 5th 2017 or a 3-week trip. Now we have just finally received the interview appointment, and it's on March 22nd (Las Vegas office). Now the questions I have are:

1. Will they take her GC and/or passport at the interview? Can she travel international in between time?

2. Can she request with the IO that the oath ceremony be taken AFTER she returns from overseas?

3. if we try to reschedule her interview or oath ceremony, has anybody had any experience with the Las Vegas Field office? (difficult or not)

Any information is much appreciated.

Thank You

Cameron74,

USCIS does not take GC back at the interview unless if they have same day oath and if you decided to take oath. No they do not take your passport. I believe PL has dual citizenship provisions and pl citizens must use their pl passport to enter pl (i read this somewhere in wiki).

Naturalization Ceremonies

The Las Vegas Field Office conducts Judicial Ceremonies twice per month and Administrative Ceremonies only on rare occasions.  This office conducts same-day naturalizations for Judicial Ceremonies only.

she can probably ask to reschedule the oath after she comes back but i wouldn't take chance for such things because if IO forget to put the note and oath is scheduled while she is out of country, it might deemed that the application is abandoned by applicant and Citizenship is denied on that ground.

I don't know anything about Las Vegas Field office.
