name change before or after filling taxes

Were getting our marriage license this week and will marry next week , we applied for ssn already and should get that before march , I was wondering how long does it take to do name change once you married , got your ssn? when u go to the ssn office does process within that day , or does it take a few days for the name change to process? Also I need to file taxes ,should I do the name change first before filling taxes?

The name change should be instantaneous. All you do is show your new DL or the marriage cert. and they update it in their system. You will get your new SS card in the mail within a week. That's how mine went at least.

I'm waiting on my drivers license name change because so busy here at the office but I did the ss number name change .  It's a big thing for me I haven't changed my name since my husband who passed and I was married 35 years ago! ?

You filing taxes is about 2016 you were single your wife isn't part if that. It's next year 2017 taxes you file that will reflect your new marriage.
