Hello, I am Duff. 18 years old from the Philippines, my grandmother filed an I-130 and it was approved on October 18, 2016. It is said to the notis that they've already passed/sent it to the NVC but until now (february 2017) we still haven't received any/heard about the processing of our VISA and they haven't notised us again YET. What should I do? Any advice?

who filed and when?

because you say grandmother and not your mother, yet on the left side where your information is, says the petition is an F2A, resident mom filing for a child under 21

so who is filing for you and when was the petition sent?

I'm sorry, my mistake. The petitioner is my father. But, My grandmother is the one who is doing the action like; submitting everything to the immigration/USCIS. Our petition was sent last year (February 2016). Is it clear now? I'm sorry for the mistake.

the process can take up to 2 years,

when the priority date is close, the nvc will contact your father to continue the petition, there are more forms, payments and documents to send and fill out

According to my grandmother (mother of my father), the NVC sent her a letter/notice saying that we(me, my sis &my mom) will be the one that the NVC will send a letter,  not our father.

your mom may receive some of the letters, but most of the things that your father has to send will go to him

what you will need to do if sigh the DS261 which chooses an agent to represent you in the US. he or she will receive the mail and be contacted by NVC

depends on if you are your moms derivative or if he filed a separate petition for each of you.
