Khurram, Can you tell me how you know if the packet was sent to Islamabad.

I called NVC and told them my case number and they gave me a new case number for Islamabad and told we that it was sent to them, I also then later on got a letter for the NVC letting me know that the case was transfered to Islamabad

You can use your CIS (NOA) receipt number from your approval to find out.

On calling the NVC automated voice response number (603) 334-0700 you will.... press 1 for English press 2 for Spanish

press 1 for information about your immigrant visa

It will then ask you if you know your CIS receipt number.....press 1

(Once you have a case number you can use this.....press 2)

You then follow the instructions to key in your number.

It will then tell you if NVC has received the petition, and assigned a number.

When making enquiries always put your case number in the subject line.

After you have a date of when it is leaving (approx) you tack all diplomatic pouches going from US to the Consulates by searching on the specific dates :

Select the approx dates you expect your package to go out which is usualy 3 to 4 days after NVC tells you they sent out the electronic communication.

put in reference number I-730 and click track.

Hi! I haven't received anything yet, but I've been getting emails. These both came in within two hours of each other. The first says

Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

The second says:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

Now does that mean I have NOA2s for BOTH of these? Whaat? I don't get it.

#1 What does this mean?

#2 What do I do now (which docs etc)?

#3 How much time left before US entry approximately???

Should I be celebrating?

Hello djveed,,, yes you are approved already... our case is the same as yours. Our I130 & I129F were approved simultaneous on same day.... that's a CELEBRATION though ...
