Do I need to include tax information for 2016 if I submit my NVC packet before 2016 taxes are due?

Question is as the title states.  I haven't filed my 2016 taxes yet and I was hoping to submit my packet before taxes are due.  Would I only need to include 2016 taxes if I'm submitting my packet after the tax due-date?  If I have to do my 2016 taxes and include those, that information will not be available on a transcript, so would a copy of the tax return as well as a W2 be sufficient to include?

You would want to include your 2016 taxes, If you do not you may get an RFE for them. Include all schedules and info. We had an RFE for taxes for the AOS.

Darn!  Good to know, though.  Would a copy of the tax return and a copy of my W2 be alright to include, then?

you need to make sure to send all of the schedules also. basically everything you submit to the IRS you need to send that is why the transcript is better. Only 2 to 3 pages not 5or more.

I see.  So I'll submit the transcript I did get, for 2013-2015, and all the tax stuff I submit for 2016, to cover all my bases.  Thank you so much for your help, G Walters!
