Ebunoluwa yes you are right the beneficiary was denied entry to check even with nvc letter, and that she has to go and wait for the embassy letter or call....

Our case was reaffirmed and shipped to Accra ,Ghana since December for interview but the Consulate in Ghana claiming it has not receive the case yet, is that possible? So which Agency is telling us the truth? NVC or the Consulate?

Yes, that is the pattern with Ghana. If NVC emailed you the pouch number it was send in then Ghana "has it".
"Has it" as in : it is sitting in a pile in line to get processed. Ghana returns so many cases and most are reaffirmed
so there is a queue to enter the file into their computer system and then wait again until a second appointment becomes
available. Count on several months wait time.

Ebonoluwa, thank you for your info, but NVC just sent me an affirmation email and a snail mail to my mailing address, and the NVC stated clearly the date the case was sent. So are  they not telling us the truth? I doubt. So can I request the diplomatic pouch number in which the case was sent? Just as proof?....This consulate  in Ghana!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes of course you can ask NVC for the diplomatic pouch number.
Perhaps you did not understand my comment. Let me clarify, I believe it has been send by NVC and is now sitting
in queue at the embassy to be entered into their data system. If it has not been entered into the system then most people
writing emails in Ghana embassy assume it is not there yet. It takes a long time for the embassy to process it, enter it in the
system and place it again in the queue for a second interview.

That has been my experience with them also ,?Ours took from Jan to June to get appointment from them . I just keep calling them with the question is it there yet. I think like everyone says they have a lot of returned cases and this is just normal for Ghana

Oh My God, Jenilyn and Awal.. this is bad ,6 months to get the interview? WOOOOOW,,  Our is almost 2 months now

I'm not sure but I knew w they take a long time that was in 2015 I am sure it's not much better now sorry just keep your hopes up.

lutz and all reaffirmed cases, I have a question: Do CR1 visa application expire while waiting for a reaffirmed visa interview at an embassy?

Mine has a D261 expired but after it's reaffirmed we just reapply that part I was really worried and called nvc and Uscis and was told this , my lawyer said same thing but I didn't trust her lol you need call national visa center once a year while in process so they know your still in process and they have record you called.

That is correct, email NVC and the embassy that you are still pursuing this case and make sure you have documentation
of the email, you may not if you call in, you can do both though.
Normally the embassy will extend it automatically but since they are so unpredictable email for the extension just to be sure.

Ebunoluwa, so do I need to do something now that I have evidence for reaffirmation of the case?...I mean do I need to do new visa application? D-260 or D-261? I'm really confused about this update message of : EXPIRING SOON.

I emailed the consulate twice yesterday about that new update on my case but as usual: SILENCE !!!!!!

Jenilyn and Awal, I called NVC and they said, nothing like that is showing on their system, and my case is in Ghana. they still see the case in AP. So what is this confusion about? what should we do now with this EXPIRING SOON update on a case which was recently reaffirmed?
