I need help. I applied for green card (adjust of status) for myself and my son. At the same time, I applied for advance parole for travelling document too.

I put my name and my sons name with my husband's (US citizen) last name. I just got approved but I received the Request for evidence for proof of my son's name change.

I honestly didnt think it would have been an issue. I shouldve known better.

Is there any way that I can change the applying name to his oroginal name?

I am so panicked about this and dont know what to do. I waited for 4 months just to get the letter for advance parole, I really need to go back to go back to my home country soon.

Can anyone help?

Thank you very much for reading this and possibly helping.

there is no fast way to solve this,

you can travel back to your country but your son won't

send the advance parole and anything you sent with the name changed again with a copy of the birth certificate and translation into English and a letter explaining it was a mistake. see if immigration accepts that

you can change your last name to your married name because there is a legal document that allows you to, your marriage certificate, for your son to have your husband's last name, he had to have legally adopted him and send copies of the adoption paperst
