Had AOS interview today and this is happened lol:

Hello, went to AOS interview today then after getting sworn in the IO literally asked the two of us 2 questions my husband answer was a bit vague might was more detail i guess. I think i was just talking a lil bit too much and wasnt allowing my husband to talk fully outta nervousness so after that he basically separated us an questioned us about our relationship n our family. It took about 5-10 minutes for each of u. Then brought us back in and started to say everything seems fine with the application he never asked any more questions after he brought us back together. Then he said all we might need is a new up to date medical but hes not sure as yet we should just wait to see if we get the rfe n started to talk about permanent residency vs conditional basically started to go into when the green card might be approved. His whole vibe changed from curious to convince but idk that's was just weird why we were instantly seperated us by the first two questions which wasnt even that deep i was a bit nervous when he did that but at the same time i was like not, cause our relationship isnt no bullshit u know lol me and my husband been to together for yrs 5 to be exact and will be married for 2 years in Jan. Idk what red flag he might have saw that was that serious but we had a lot of evidence as well to the point where he gave us back some lol. Maybe it was because of us being in our mid early 20s idc am just guessing at this point After talking to my husband when we left we basically answered 98% of the question right anyways. We both just added lil more details to the answers on some of the family related question. From how it look and the way IO was talking at the end of the interview it seems like if it wasnt for our possible outdated medical he would have approved us right there...

Sounds like it all worked out in the end. Nerves cause funny things!!

My wife and I are thinking about just bringing an up to date medical whenever the interview doesn't get scheduled to be safe and not delay anything anymore.  Do you remember the date for you medical?  I'm curious to see if you get an RFE

Howdy all New York filer my PD is 28/04/2017. Already in possession of my EAD combo card n was just wondering when will I see some movements as it relates to my I-485 n I-130 applications. How long from now before my interview is scheduled? I notice a few people from New York getting interviews between 230 -236 days. I would appreciate any advice.

Your gonna be waiting a long time.

We did the medical on October, 10, 2016. Send in packet on Feb. But on there website it says after uscis receive your medical its valid for one year from the date it was received. So we are still in the time frame therefore we didn't get an RFE. But at the interview the IO told us its an old form and he might not be able to use it to get us approved he might need a new one. But told us not to do anything yet we should wait and see if we get the letter. So am hoping we get processed before February so we don't have to spend all that money again u know.

I filed AOS at the end of April coming from a K1 visa. My status has said "Ready to schedule an interview" since July 17 :(

Has anyone with a K1 had this status and ended up just being mailed a GC? I'm just trying to be optimistic!

In any case... I know the wait is LONG but to add to this lengthy process, we're considering moving to Oregon in the spring. The wait is shorter but I've read moving during AOS is hell. Feeling totally discouraged!

From what I have seen most k-1 get approved without an interview but also u waiting that long is not abnormal my husband is doing adjustment of status we received the same notice as u in May and we just did our interview in December. So if your currently in the states it all depends on what state ur in an what local field office your assigned to some like nyc takes along time to process stuff.

Update: ended up getting the RFE for the outdated medical like 2 days ago. Since its the holidays we got an appointment for Jan 4 to get it done. One day before our anniversary lol, once we send the medical in we will be married for 2 years I hope when they make the final decision they will review those details. And my husband will get his 10yr instead of conditional. But either way i will be thankful cause we all know the journey is quite stressing n nerve racking but blessings to everyone.

typically, when status remains as "fingerprint fee received" for a long time then that is a good indicator your interview ill be waived as a K1 applicant. however, there have been cases on here where people get their green cards in the mail without an interview, even if their status shows "Ready for interview to be scheduled". there's really no clear formula here unfortnuately.

good luck!

Hello everyone, Did anyone noticed that December 7th USCIS was processing cases I-485 of October 20, 2016. On the 26th of December I checked again and took a screenshot as well.. USCIS processing I-485 of June 21, 2016. How is that possible that instead of going ahead their going back with the date..???  Is there anyone who knows whats going on?  I filed on July 6th 2017 for AOS, I guess here is gonna be more then a year of waiting.. Can they take more then a year???
