Just left the federal plaza.

We got there 30 minutes before it was scheduled and went up straight to the 9th floor.

from there they redirected us to the 4th.

when the girl called us she apologized saying she needed to go out for a lunch real quick but to be back in 40 minutes.

we went to the caffeteria and 40 minutes later went back to the waiting room.

then she called us joking saying everything is better after eating LOL.

she started asking us to make three piles with the types of docs we brought.

then asked us to sign a waver because our lawyer wasnt present.

sworn us in and started asking how we met.

i answered but i was shaking first because i was kinda anxious and second i was starving.

she made a joke asking if i was ok and to proceed.

Asked us if i met his family, when, name of mom and dad, what made us get married, why move from orlando ( where we actually met ) to ny, if we went to brazil.

Where he works, doing what, where i work doing what, since when...

our address, if i teach him portuguese and for him to pronounce...

and that was it.

by the end she said she will make a decision by the end of the day.

i asked her if i should apply for a renewal for ead cause it expires in september and the company i work for is asking for a new.

she said she will do her best to finish the case today and i will get something in the mail in at least two weeks.

she also kept a few pictures, boarding passes...

It took like, 30 minutes.

it is really ok the interview and if you are on a legit relationship there is nothing to worry about.

Seems like Brooklyn is taking forever. PD: 4/16/17. Scheduling interview since 8/10/2017. Haven't heard anything yet. I had to send off a renewal for my EAD. This is getting very frustrating.

PD 3 May 2017 Brooklyn Filler and no interview letter. Called Uscis they said I’m in queue, raised SR and answer was: USCIS systems indicate that your case is awaiting an interview. You should be receiving this appointment notification from your local Field Office once they are able to schedule the appointment. Ugh.. one positive thing from this long wait in 3 weeks I gonna have 2 years marriage anniversary and hopefully I’ll get 10 years gc

How is it related to the GC duration?

If you are married less than 2 years at the time of approval, you get a 2-year CONDITIONAL GC. You must then file I-751 Removal of Conditions 90 days before your 2-year GC's expiration date to become an unconditional permanent resident and receive the 10-year unconditional GC. This is to deter fraudulent marriages because if they did not have this procedure, you can bet that there would be MANY fake newly married couples who would immediately divorce after the foreigner gets a green card.

If you are married more than 2 years at the time of approval, you automatically get the 10-year GC and do not have to file I-751. You can just wait until you are eligible for citizenship.

Btw, you really should read about Removal of Conditions if you are married less than 2 years. If you miss this step, your GC will expire and your permanent resident status can be taken away and you are called to immigration court to explain yourself. There are a lot of people who "forgot" to file I-751 (God only know why or how that happens). Ignorance is not a defence.

Any truth to this? I've seen others post about how Brooklyn is slower but can't find confirmation that different boroughs are processed at different locations. What bad luck if so (being in New York makes it tough already).
