unique living situation

My wife and I will be filing soon for removal of conditions. She came originally on a K-1.

So, we have a unique living situation that I would like some advice on.

We have our permanent address listed as my parents house in Georgia. We both have been working a seasonal summer job out in Wyoming(Yellowstone NP) since we got married. So, basically we live in Wyoming in employee housing during the summer, and then go back to live with my parents during the rest of the time.

I am going to get a letter from our employer that proves we live together during the summer in employee housing. Then I will get a letter from my parents stating that we live together in their home for the rest of the time. Because of this we have no utilities in either of our names, nor do we have a lease/rental agreement. Do you think that this will be OK??

Next question. We will be working this upcoming summer again in Wyoming. The problem we are facing is that when we apply for ROC (within the 90 days) we will already be in Wyoming and our permanent address will be listed as my parents in Georgia. I do not want to use our address in Wyoming because it is TEMPORARY housing in dormitories.

The main problem is that she will most likely have to do her biometrics in Atlanta but we will both be in Wyoming during this time. If it comes down to it, she will have to fly back to Atlanta just for the biometrics. It will be very annoying but if that is what needs to be done then we will do it. Does anyone have any other suggestions??

As long as you have your other co-mingling evidence in order, I don't see that your living situation should be an issue.

As for the biometrics, once the apt letter arrives, your parents could forward it and she could try to do an early walk-in at an application center closer to where you're staying. They might let her in, if not, she will have to fly "home".

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

Thanks for your answer. I was not aware that she could go into any application center and try a walk-in. Has anyone done this before? Has anyone walked-in for a biometrics appointment in a different state? Part of me feels nervous in doing this as it may cause some unknown problem later on. This would save a lot of time and money. But, like I said if it comes down to it, she will fly back.

It's been tried, sometimes with success, sometimes not. If you do try, make sure to go well ahead of the scheduled date.

Does this mean she could go in for the biometrics before we even get an appointment date? Like, could we go before even sending the ROC package? If so, then we could actually just go to the one in Atlanta before we leave for Wyoming. It would be outside the 90 day window though.

You must have the paperwork processed with an appointment date set before you can attempt a walk in appointment.

My wife didn't do it in a completely different state but at another office closer to where we were staying temporarily....similar to your situation.  She had the appointment letter and asked if she could change the date of the appointment for the other office and they were very nice and told her there was no need because they could do it right there and right now !
