K1 Processing Time

Hello Everyone,

 

I see here that alot of members are November filers and they got their NOA2 already so I'm confused because I checked the USCIS Processing time and they updated it today and it shows they are processing July 28 2016. I even called and I was told the same thing, so how are alot fo November filers shows here that they received NOA2 already if USCIS still processing up to July 28 2016?

The officical processing times given by USCIS are "worst-case-scenarios", while what you will find on VJ is more realistic for most cases.

Because there are probably a few old cases still being processed. But some late Nov. and even a small handful of Dec. filers are being processed. Check my signature for detailed logs over the past few weeks of late Oct., Nov., and early Dec. filers processed during this period.

 

 

Edit: Note the wording as well. USCIS is not processing "up to" late July cases. They are processing cases as of July 28. The latter says nothing of the latest case they processed.

I think they must have made an error with that update bc the January update had I-765's listed at September 2016, and now it shows July 2016.

Thank you. I received my NOV1 November 28 but USCIS received it November 16th and I see some members here received their NOA2 already and they received their NOA1 after me.

Maybe because the update for I-F129 used to show August 16 and now is back to July 28.

Cases are not worked in a strictly sequential order. Some cases from late Oct.and early Nov. have not heard anything, but late Nov. filers are being processed regularly now. There's a "spread" of a little over a month worth of cases they are working on at a time. Many Nov. 28 filers should hopefully be hearing something back within the next week or 2. The last couple days have had decent work done on cases for that timeframe. Just because a case in front of yours got a NOA2 doesn't mean you were skipped or anything is wrong.

There must have been a mistake made by whoever is updating the USCIS processing times page. Every line in every service center now has a processing as of date of July 28, 2016, that doesn't sound right to me.

I just noticed this too. Yeah, that's almost definitely a mistake. =.= Given that it's late Friday and right before a holiday, I wouldn't expect them to fix it for a bit.

I've been obsessively checking the processing time lists since I started my journey with USCIS a year ago.  I just spent the last half hour in a bit of an angry panic and my husband (who is definitely the more calm, rational one) pointed out EVERYTHING has that date.  

 

I can deal with the way they spread the cases (ie some who lie later get a decision earlier) but I was pretty deflated there for a moment. 

 

They're humans and make mistakes, but boy oh boy.
