It's been 6 months after Biometrics and no appointment letter yet

Hello Everyone,

I submitted my N400 packet in July 2016.

Biometrics were taken on August, 2016 and now I am still waiting for interview appointment letter.

I have called USCIS and they were not very helpful. They said my appointment hasn't been scheduled yet.

I also made an Infopass appointment (Orlando) around December 5th, 2016 and the person said the same thing, that according to the system my interview date hasn't been scheduled yet.

He said he was going to send some kind of "reminder" and that I should receive appt letter within 60 days. More than 60 days have passed and nothing yet.

It is very confusing because when I check my case status on the USCIS website it says the following:

Received As: Paper Application
Status: In Process

Status Message: USCIS has scheduled your interview appointment and will mail you the appointment notice.

Notice Date    Receipt Number    Applicant Name    Notice Type
8/5/16             xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx      (my name)         Appointment Scheduled

Please let me know what I can do at this point. Should I get a lawyer? Keep calling USCIS? Should my US citizen husband send a letter to someone?

I think it has been too long...

I must mention that I requested a name change in my application. Maybe it is taking longer because of this?

Any ideas, comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all.

The USCIS Processing time for Orlando Florida is 7 months and 2 days, so you can't make any requests until that time has come and gone.
