hi

i would give USCIS a call to verify the procedure for this particular application is..as to how you can check the status online...

the reply was it a NOA1 on official paper or was it just a letter from the Detroit office..?? if you have a receipt number without the LIN maybe that is the way you can enter it in the online status page..

good luck

Hi, for N600 there is no NOA at all. You have to wait for them to contact you. In our case, we got N600 done in a month and a half. First we went to our DO to get more info and ended up leaving form N600 with them (our paper was complete) .sA month and a half later they sent us a letter asking us to mail them back our kid GC. We went to see them instead. We gave them GC and they gave us cert. We were very lucky that we did not wait for long.
