So we got through our AOS interview just fine, no problems other than having to submit a new vaccination portion of the I-693 because the one from the civil surgeon in the UK for some unexplained reason is no longer valid even though nothing has changed. Once we submit this, our card will be sent. My question is if anyone knows if TRICARE will cover this. Like I said, we only need the civil surgeon to fill out the vaccination portion and not an actual physical.

No, Tricare won't covered it (  I have Tricare Prime).  If your medical exam is expired then you have to redo it again. That was happened to me.

Hi all, I have firsthand knowledge of this. No idea if tricare covers it, BUT your base physician IS IN FACT QUALIFIED to do the medical exam! Most base physicians do not even KNOW THIS. Mine did not, but I found all the paperwork online that states that a military physician with at least 4yrs of experience (after residency) has a blanket designation as a civil surgeon for USCIS purposes. I printed off all the paperwork and took it in when I went to see my PCM. At first they dismissed it, but I was insistent and they finally looked at everything that I had. Sure enough, I was right! So they did all of it on base, including the vaccinations, for free.

To get all the info to print off and take in with you to the base, just type in "blanket designation military physician civil surgeon uscis medical exam" to your google search and it will show you the links to the policy memorandum from uscis and lots of other links. Good luck!
