Interesting read! For some reason, I felt that an interview was going to be mandatory. So knowing there's a chance we may not even get interviewed is kind of cool. 

 

We're still waiting for our NOA 1, but looking at what they considered a "well put together" package gives me a bit of peace thinking we have done this right!! (after all this practice, we are learning to be extremely meticulous in our paperwork). 

 

Based on that list, we provided pretty much everything except for birth certificate of children (we don't have any yet) and I think we provided 8 photos, not 10-20. We provided a lot of shared finance, shared ownership, insurance etc type evidence. As well as notarized letters from close friends and relatives. 

 

I don't mind going to an interview. But it'd be nice if they see it approved and in process (if no interview means quicker results!!).

Good article but certainly the same information you get here.  I also feel like this article makes it seem like  you are likely to get an interview, when really it's the other way around.  You normally don't get an interview, UNLESS there are red flags.

I was surprised that wills and medical Powers of Attorney were not listed on the site.  Honestly, if you have kids, you need both of these documents.  And even if you DON'T have kids, how better to show commitment than to show USCIS what would happen in a dire medical emergency, or even with death!!!

I personally think these are also secondary evidences because it is very easy to create them, at the same time, it is just as easy to change or revoke them only a few hours after you created them. Having said that with the help of websites like VJ, trackitt, etc, ROC approvals are (almost) automatic. I don't think I ever came across someone whose ROC was denied while in a bonafide marriage (except for people who failed to respond RFE/interview letters and such). Therefore, number 1 tip for any pre-I751 filer is to join forums like this, look at a few past examples, and prepare your package accordingly. Then depending on the service center you file, wait either 6 or 12 months, and get your 10 yr card.
