Grrrr

I called Videotron(cable/internet/phone) company for a copy of my bills in English(cuz I was registered in French and recieved my bills in French) so that I could send copies to USCIS with my I-130 and I-129f as evidence of a bonafide marriage. They screwed up, and I won't have the copies until late April(I called on the 12th of March)... First time I have a problem with Videotron... don't get me started on Bell Canada lol

Now we're sending pictures from our civil marriage and a picture of us together on all prior trips. We're also sending evidence of money transfers through our paypal accounts. My husband will have my name added to his paypal account and we'll send a statement showing that his account is now in both our names. We can send the itinerary for our honeymoon(which is only in October) where the tickets are registered in my married name. We are thinking of having an affidavit written by my mother in law and perhaps even my father. I also have all my prior itineraries available as well as all my boarding passes.. I can send those in as well if needed... Perhaps copies of some of my IDs that now bare my married name(some bare my maiden and married name, it's annoying lol)

With all this evidence, do you think it's necessary that I wait after Videotron to send me the copies of my prior bills(that show all the outgoing calls to my husband since we started dating in July) ? Or is the evidence Im sending enough ? Or too much ? I really want to be able to send our I-130 next week or early the following week at the latest.

What's you guys' take ?

I appreciate your advice :)

regarding pictures............i took all the pictures I wanted to submit and using the walmart digital photo manager put them all one one collage page. I thought it a simpler option to having all the actual photos. one page amounted to wallet sized photos with one 3 x 5 in the center.......less bulk in the package.

get a letter from your parents and friends.

have either of you added the other to an insurance policy.......next of kin contact......bank account?

Cat -- not only is it not required that you send this kind of evidence with your I-130 or I-129F petitions, but I don't think it's necessary or even recommended at that stage...

It is my understanding that you are to save this kind of evidence to bring to your interview(s). I sent nothing of the sort with my petitions, but I brought phone bills and photographs to my interview in Montreal. (And the CO didn't ask to see any of it.)

Perhaps others have a different take on this though -- you might want to wait to hear from them.

The pictures we would send are mounted in a Microsoft Word file, 2 pictures per page with explanation/date

When I read the Guide for the K3 visa it said that we should send evidence of a bonafide marriage.

Catou,

I have cogeco phone, and I didn't even think of calling them for the I-129. We didn't send in any phone records at all. I have called though and the wonderful rep I spoke to is going to set up a find and sort file for me so I will have them for proof of ongoing relationship for my interview.

We sent in emails, pics, letters and postmarked envelopes. Plane tickets, luggage tags.

He did get stopped at the border once and we had to get him temporary canadian citizenship, UGH, $200. He forgot his birth certificate and they found something on him. Nothing serious down there, but YIKES up here it was. BUT he had to hand it in when he went home, *sigh*, didn't think it was a good idea to try and track it lmao

Em , I think providing evidence is a more recent requirement.........a change since we filed.

Ah, yes. Thanks, CutienPurg -- I keep forgetting that things have changed.

Soooo

Im excited lol

I think we're gonna go ahead and file without the phone bills. For one, I don't want to overwhelm them with too much information.

We'll have pictures from our wedding and pictures from our prior visits to eachother(2 pictures a page on a Word document.. amounts to like 5 pages or so).

We'll have evidence of our finances co-mingling through Pay-Pal

We'll have at least one affidavit (from his parents, possibly another from my parents)

We'll have written our itineraries in a Word document showing all our past trips

We'll send both our itinearies for our Honeymoon which is in October. My tickets are registered in my married name.

I think that should be sufficient no ? Im also working on getting a document from my insurance company that shows that my husband is my beneficiary. He's doing the same. We could send that as well if we are able to get the documents early next week

That should be sufficient no ?

Just a last little question, the evidence we send with the I-130, we send the same with the I-129f ? Im sure Ive asked the question before but I just want to make sure :)

Thanks for all the help guys :)

We filed late October 2006 and only sent in copy of our marriage certificate as proof. Not sure if this has changed since then but it is my understanding that proof of ongoing relationship needs to be submitted for K1 Visa applicants but again I may be wrong.
