After shattering yet another weekly POTS sales record, we went on a mission, missionary we man.

We printed an on-line coupon for JCPenney and went to a JCP, safari man.

We seem to have hit the jackpot, whee man.

We scored Many (2+2) Many-packs (2+1-packs) of big-man underwear for Uncle T-B., in need senior he man.

These were on discount, buy one get another half-off, and further lowered via coupon, steal man.

We further scored Many (2+2) big-man shirts on deep closeout, dig for worms and strike oil man.

If the shirts don't exactly fit, we can swap them for sizes that do, whee man.

We are excited and hopeful, glee we man.

Mrs. T-B. thinks that Widow Amiga is a U.S. citizen, we hope man.

We just had the terrible thought that hubby was here on an H-1B or something and that she'd now have to leave, hope not man.

We found ourself wondering how long it will be before D2 comes up for air, probably with hubby now man.

Saturday GS report, see man:

Many GSs itineraried; more than a few phantom, grrr man.  However, we tired before entire itinerary was completed, oh well man.

 

The take, see man:

-- designer bathmat; bath towel; 2 warshcloths; set of 2+1 covered glass bowls = $Many 

     ($2x2x2+2), a bit high man

-- Many (2+1) A/C filters for r-casa = $Many ($2+1), steal man

-- 2 new-with-tag Wrangler flannel shirts; 2 forks; serving-spoon = $Many ($2x2x2-1), steal man

-- shirt for Mini-B. = half a buck, fair man

-- sweat-pants; cosmetic sponges for Mrs. T-B. = buck-&-a-half, deal man

Total = $Many ($2x2x2x2+2+2+2), satisfying man

Busy day otherwise, peripatetic we man.

-- Donated old r-casa doorknobs to Habitat ReStore, see story below* man.

-- Returned extra new doorknob to Lowe's, cash refund man.

-- Delivered new shirts/underwear to Uncle T-B., we to senior he man.

-- Ran to/back from JCPenney to exchange most for better sizes, get it done now man.

-- Delivered new stuff to very pleased Uncle T-B., satisfied senior he man.

-- Madly dashed & just made it to dry-cleaners, despite getting one red light Many (2+1) times, dratted turtles man.

-- Got blessed nap-with-cat before Mrs. T-B./Mini-B. returned, zzz we & miu man.

-- Went to Aldi, Saturday night man.

-- Warshed/baked/folded 2 laundry loads, #2 baking now man.

-- Warsh-dishing #2 load, both VERY full man.

 

*After donating doorknobs, we went inside for receipt, document we man.  We beheld a lovely young lady who'd just finished paying for the old chandelier-type light fixture from the r-casa, amazing man.  Outside, we said, "That's a pretty fixture," say we man.  She said, "Thank you -- I know!  I was so happy to find it," say she man.  We didn't get to ask her what she'd paid for it, no man, but we were happy that she was happy, glee she man, and the experience was certainly a coincidence, couldn't possibly have planned things that way man.

Mrs. T-B. cooked quite a bit of (very smelly) food, and packed a package of supplies for, Widow Amiga she ma'am, and drove a long way with another amiga & Mini-B. to deliver it, thoughtful she man.  They spent several hours there, caucus they man.  W.A. has cried a lot and has no idea what's coming or how to proceed, no man.  The lack of planning was such that no funeral arrangements had even been investigated, cultural taboo perhaps man.

 

Casa -- bought just about a year ago, on mortgage -- was in husband's name only, perhaps for credit reasons man.  We suggested fixing up W.A. with legal & financial-planning help, but Mrs. T-B. says that we can't do anything until W.A. realizes that there are challenges, Catch-2x2x2x2+2+2+2 man.  Trouble is, by that time, there might be a full-blown crisis or beyond, sigh and intensified Catch-2x2x2x2+2+2+2 man.  Hubby left W.A. no will or powers of attorney, cultural garbage again man.

 

And Mrs. T-B. forgot to ask W.A.'s citizenship status, ADD she and possible complications man.

 

How would you help an amiga in these circumstances, huh man?
