It's outright scary. The worst storm since Sandy.

All you can really do is line up your ducks, and hunker down. I'm sure you know all the stuff you should be doing ahead of it, so I won't teach you how to chew cabbage.

I lived for many years on PEI, and when the kids were small it was a miserable place in the winter. The worst I remember, was a day of freezing rain, which turned into heavy wet snow. The power was off for 8 days, and we were getting pretty fed up at the end of it. The Island lost 200+ power poles in that storm, and they were ages getting it fixed.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

This was actually a March storm in this part of the country in 1966.

Now they're talking 60 mph winds...

So last week here?

You'll live.  I just looked online, said we were between 50-60 mph earlier this month.  Blew the roof off our playset and our house was shaking all day.  The Dane still went to work, but it was a complete white out on the way home even though we only got an inch of snow.

It does look nasty. However that being said, I've just seen a post from the weather channel. " Stella could undergo BOMBOGENISIS!!!!" Sounds like a made up bit of technobabel weather speak to me. Is that even a real thing?

It went "Bombogenesis" all right....

This is how my morning has gone:

Got up and couldn't move my neck.

Toddler had gigantic poop explosion everywhere on the way out the door because my husband put him in a diaper that was too small this morning.

Consequently, older child was 1 minute late to school and of course, the doors were locked.

They don't let the kids in by themselves when the door are locked, but I was in my pajamas, had a kid with no winter clothes on, and wasn't sure if I had poop on me... so I made her go in alone with a note that said I wasn't getting out of the car.

Then, I get home and my husband has yet again forgotten to take out the trash on trash day.  So I, with locked neck, have to lug it outside.

Not my house, but fairly typical

These are a couple of years ago. They are also getting your storm, once it moves on. It always make me laugh, when the weather churns up the East Coast and stops dead at the border :D
