There is some debate about whether any type of plate should be permanent.  

 

I would say that it is a moot point at this juncture because with the bone overgrowth, removal would only be done in extreme situations.

Little Gump has a plate in his arm that's been there for like 5 years. And it shouldn't be there.

His parents haven't brought him back to the doctor?

 

My ex has a plate put in a few months before mine, same leg, but his has never given him any trouble.  Luck of the draw, I guess.

yikes plates in kids are supposed to be removed. 

 

Was napping till the tree removal guys at neighbours decided to start yelling like someone had fallen in the chipper:ranting:

 

Guess it's time to clean and figure out supper. 

 

Oh my #4 kid boy #3 is on his way to New Orleans with his girlfriend. The kids are traveling all over the place :)
