I just put them in the ground. You can soak them over night to get them started.

When do you plant outside there? 

If you have time go ahead and start them indoors. I've had success with just starting them outdoors even up in the Sault. 

Just a warning though corn sucks out all the nutrients in the ground. So make sure it's a spot that you can let recover next year.

I'm gonna go up tomorrow with an entourage of city guys to fence in an area about 50x50. That's for the trees. If we get to it, another area about the same size for vegetables. 

The Bullet proof vest factory guys even made me a cover for one tractor

I just had a ###### phone  battle with a salesman over at Bay Ridge Honda. What an idiot this guy was. 

Long story. It's not even for me. I had a back door deal made for a Honda odyssey for this girl in the office. 

I told her to go over there and look for this one guy. So what does she do? She goes over there and couldn't find the guy. This other shyster offers her help, so she deals with him. She calls me up later and tells me that the guy wants to charge an extra 1400. I go off on her. I speak to the salesman. And he was like, I don't know where you got this price from. I laid into him, because he was an azz####. Then I told her to walk outta there. So, I get on the phone with academy Honda. And they're like, ok you got it...

So she left, then the original guy that she was supposed to deal with found out what happened, and he's all pissed off at this other guy. And he's offering the original deal that we had...

Now we have a deal with academy Honda...

Who's to blame? 

<sigh> my retarded girl...

All she would have had to do was say, "I have an appointment with this guy, and I want to find him"

I have plants in the back yard too. A dwarf quince, a dwarf apple, peppers, strawberries, Chinese winter melon, bitter Mellon, and herbs. 

Upstate, I have hickory nuts, walnuts, and many years ago, I planted apple and cherry, but they died. 

Now I learned that we have to fence them in, and spray for bugs. The farmer next door will care for them (I hope). Save some Apple picking money. Man every year I take like 15-20 kids and adults Apple picking. It cost hundreds of dollars man...

She's like brain dead. She calls the guy twice, but doesn't leave a message. Her impatience...

The deal I had set up was a "tissue deal", meaning, at dealer cost.

The farmer said, a 4-5 foot fence will keep the local deer out, they don't work too hard for their food. The birds and rabbits are more troublesome. 

I'm also putting a plot camera there. I have a couple more game cameras with a "plot" mode.
