An old Jewish lady walks into the poultry store and asks the clerk for a Rhode island hen.

The clerk shows her a chicken, she grabs it, sticks her finger in its butt, then she sniffs her finger. She said, "this isn't a Rhode island hen"

So the clerk shows her another chicken, she sticks  finger in its butt. And sniffs her finger. "This isn't a Rhode island hen either!"

4 chickens later, she said to the clerk, "you don't know what you're doing, where are you from?!"

 

The clerk turns around, bends over, drops his pants, "why don't you find out yourself..."

Why DID the Chicken Cross the Road?

The question obviously is not intended to be serious, but let's pretend that it is.  It appears to be based on the presumption that a certain chicken crossed a certain road and had a reason for doing so.  This might or might not be true.  The question is, in fact, mired in vagueness and cannot be answered with any degree of certainty.

Does anyone really believe that we are all so stupid as to believe that any chicken (i.e., all chickens) would cross the road and have the same reason(s) for doing so?

Anyone who really wants an answer should state, at the very least, which chicken they are referring to.  Reason?  Obviously because not every chicken crossed the road, and among those that did, absolutely not every one had the same reason for doing so.  Sorry if this answer is not funny, but neither is the alternative -- namely, that no chicken crossed the road at all.  How do we know this?  Because we were there and didn't see it happen, no man.
