Hi guys,we are in desperate need of assistance,my fiance has her medicals  done and visa appointment scheduled mid March in uganda, she went to apply for police clearance but was told their is a criminal record on her file so its pending until she clears with police/court.This is something that happened close to 7yrs ago,she was summoned to appear at police station because of a recommendation letter she wrote herself because her previous employer had refused to issue her with one since the company never gave no recommendation letters to casual employees. So she went and explained to the police truthfully of what happened, was fingerprinted and the case sort off collapsed police kept asking for brides.so she was shocked when she went back to inquire from the police station where the case was reported, her case was actually forwarded to court yet she wasn't aware since she had never been contacted since her fingerprints were taken. She went to followup on the case at the court registry, and was told that the case never proceeded since no witness ,accuser and accused show up on the date of the hearing.hence it was abandoned.they gave her a writeup which she took to the police station where she was fingerprinted and was cleared of the charges she went and presented the same to director of criminal investigation and was given her certificate with no criminal record. So here is our concern,my fiance was never arrested or convicted, she had already filled the ds160 and submitted it before proceeding to get her police clearance and filled no criminal conviction or arrest.so we are wondering if the new development will affect her visa eligibility or should she fill a new ds160 ?if she fill a new ds160 how will she explain she was only summoned, not arrested or convicted? thank you for your assistance.
