It's absolutely permitted to travel to non-US countries while waiting for a K-1 or after obtaining a K-1. You just can't enter the US on another visa/status....you have to enter on a K-1 once it is issued. Just watch the expiration date of the visa.

 

That said, I also would never blame somebody for being overly cautious given the current environment. The sooner you get into the US, the better.

Hi I was NOA2 approval Feb 16th as well. I call everyday and so far they say they haven't received the packet yet either. They say the same thing, that it could take up to 6 weeks.  I still call every day anyway.

Indont think call them everyday í a good idea! Just calm down and patiently! At least 3 weeks you should call them! Im afraid of you guys make them get upset and mark a bad point on your profile! Loll

No they won't do anything like that. They are very kind, polite, and helpful. It's not an issue if you call each day.

I'm not sure...I didn't receive the RFE notice yet , but the USCIS app told me one was issued today.

Thanks geowrian.  If I'm reading the report right, there are around 12 applications touched each day for my filing date (11/28/16) at a minimum.  With around 110 untouched, hopefully an approval in the next 10 working days

Correct. I hope so too.

 

Edit: to clarify, that's how many were touched today...not an average.

What date do you go by @geowrian or anyone who may know, when it comes to the reports each night?  Is it NOA1 issue date or the date you filed and they confirmed it was received?

I go by the date USCIS shows on their website when you track it. That's generally the "Date Received" from the NOA1 (albeit it can differ by a business day sometimes).

Mine was in the holiday mix.  That's why I'm asking.  December 27th online, and the NOA1 issue date January 6th...so safe to say December 27th?
