noa2 to NVC is averaging about 2 weeks. After that it seems about 1-5 days to get your embassy number. Most seem to be moving relatively quick based on the updates here.

Did the petitioner receive a letter/email from NVC - and how long did this take to reach the petitioner after the case was recieved at NVC?

I received a letter from NVC about two weeks after they issued the embassy number.

Hey everyone, writing to you guys from here in the Philippines with my fiancé to let you know we called the NVC this morning and received our case number. Our NOA2 date is 2/9 and they just received our case yesterday. We will make the interview and medical appointment tonight as I paid the visa fees this morning at BPI. I will continue to keep everyone updated and we love to see and hear about everyone's progress so far. Congratulations and good luck to everyone!

Just an FYI - I ran my scan after midnight (EST) due to the maintenance window. However, I saw no updates at all (no RFEs, no approvals, etc.). CSC was open today, so this sounds like their system just  hasn't updated, so that's why there's nothing to report for today. I will re-scan in the afternoon tomorrow.

Hi everyone!

 

Just to update. we just got our case number just now!

 

Noa2 7th Feb.

So exactly 2 weeks to nvc and assigned case number. The guy said it would take another 10 days to send our packet here in Singapore.  Will just keep tracking on CEAC website.

 

Will keep updating.

hmm, interesting. In our case, on the USCIS it says they received our case on the 5th of Dec. I opened up an account with them on the website and in this account it shows that our case was last touched on 9th Dec. So am wondering which date we fall on? Someone has an idea?

Which date for what exactly? VJ's timeline?

No, am not talking about VJ timeline, I am talking about the date in the system at USCIS. When I go to track our case and put in our receipt number, it says our petition was received on 5th Dec, also in ur scans i can see it is on 5th Dec. But then when I opened up an account on the USCIS website, it shows our case was last touched on the 9th of Dec. The reason why am asking is because u had replied to someone today that ur scan is on the last date a case was touched

I can't speak for the date in their internal systems, what said date even means. I guess where I'm confused is exactly what is trying to be accomplished. USCIS received your petition on Dec. 5th. Dec. 9th is probably when they mailed out the NOA1 or similar (mine shows 1 day after my NOA1's "Notice Date" as well), but I don't think it has any relevance in terms of when the case will be processed, how long it's been processing, etc.

 

My scans for determining what qualifies "touched" goes by the date from the USCIS Case Tracker website. If I see a change in the date from the last scan to the most recent scan, then it is treated as "touched" in my data. I'd love to pull other data to even see if there is a pattern, but that data isn't publicly available.

I guess Dec 9th is when they mailed the NOA1 thats why it shows that the case was last touched on that very date even though it was received on Dec 5th. I think there is no big deal there coz I see our case is on Dec 5th in ur scans

Thank you - then we should have it a few days before my medical.  Now that my case is in transit to the Embassy I feel a bit better about going ahead and filing my ds-160 and booking my interview!  I was a bit concerned about not having any hard copy evidence of my case number for the medical.
