Did the K1 Fiancee Visa change from Non-immigrant to Immigrant?? I noticed on NVC when I was checking our case status, that no information would come up under nonimmigrant.  When I changed the category to Immigrant, I saw information on my case and it said it was still at NVC:mellow:

it will not change to a non immigrant visa until after you pass the interview,it will go to adm processing then it will update to non imm.

I have a question regarding tourist visa for family of K1 holders. My parents (and an ummarried sibling) want to travel with me to usa when i come on a k1 visa so they can attend the wedding too.

I need your opinion on which us better, safer and easier -

1. Getting them a tourist visa before my k1 arrives so they need not show any family in usa whatsoever.

2. Getting them a tourist visa after my K1 arrives so their reason to travel is to attend daughters wedding.

Which is better?

Any help much appreciated :)

The better option is number 2. The reason makes sense to them.

Please dont think that the consular officers dont know anything. When your parents apply the visa, they would see your parents' names in your k1 visa process too.

But i was thinking of getting their Tourist visa now itself before i even have the Noa2.. will that make any difference? We have distant relatives in usa so parents can use their invite letter too if required. What say?

It doesn't really matter tbh. You can't sponsor a tourist visa so having your own visa doesn't have an impact on the process. Also, invite letters usually don't help the process (again, because you can't sponsor a tourist visa)...and sometimes they backfire as they show ties to the US. CBP generally doesn't care why somebody is coming to the US. They care about why somebody is compelled to leave the US, which means proving ties to return home.

I feel your pain, when it does come time for me to be with my fiance again it would be 7 months since I've last seen her :( we waiting to get noa2 now hopefully soonsoon.

I've been stressing and making myself sick as I cannot wait anymore because I miss her so much and talking on the phone all day sometimes helps but you still crave that face to face time.

Well, not sure what to say, to not sound negative, but, realistically if there is a will there is a way. ( I am talking off her of course) .Will have to stop on this point. Good luck my friend.
