We are nearing the end now (hopefully!) my fiance had his medical on Wednesday and all went well and has scheduled his interview at the embassy week after next! We are hoping we have all in order and the process will go smoothly at the American Embassy in London.  Any reviews, feedback, suggestions and prayers would be greatly appreciated! And congratulations to all those in this group that now have K-1 visas in hand and I am sending prayers for swift approval for all those still waiting. Thank you to all for your wisdom, experience and encouragement!

I took four weeks? Well, I am a little bit relieved, I was starting to think that there is something wrong with my case, even though the uscis lady told me everything was in order.  Thank you.

I was told by an NVC call center rep, waiting 4-6 weeks until your NVC# will be available is not uncommon.

Wishing you a speedy process!

Hello everyone,

I really need help please. I'm trying to get the bank deposit slip so my fiance can go and pay the fees but I'm asked for the "IV case ID" and I tried the case number, Invoice number that I got from NVC but nothing is working I contacted NVC and explained the issue but all they said the numbers we gave you are all we have and you need to contact your embassy. I e-mailed the embassy in Egypt but no response. anyone one knows what number is this and how to get it? Please see attached.

Thank you for all your help.

Yesterday my case was listed as "Ready" on the ceac website. I downloaded the packet 3 letter for Montreal, completed the DS-160 and sent in the email. Today I got a reply stating they couldn't process my packet 3 email yet, as they had to send me the packet 3 letter first. They did also say I wouldn't have to resend the email, they would just process it once they were able to. But now I guess we just wait until they mail the letter.

I just called NVC, they finally gave me my case number, the problem is the application is scheduled to be sent to the wrong country.  My fiance was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras but he lives in San Jose, Costa Rica.  I told the lady my NOA2 actually specify the consulate is SAN JOSE, as well as all my paper work.  She apologize and said that it was a mistake made at the NVC and she was going to "elevate the case to a supervisor" and she was going to talk to a supervisor to fix the problem.  The good news she said is that the application is still here in the States is not gone yet.  She told me to call at the end of next week to find out what the status of this mess is.  Oh my God!!! I am panicking here.  How can this be happening.  It took almost 4 weeks for them to get the application and now this.  As you guys can understand, I won't be able to sleep until this matter is resolved.  I am a grown up woman but I could cry right now.

Please keep the thread updated. I was unsuccessful in having them change the embassy at NVC and was told that they are prohibited from doing so without a letter requesting to do so (which takes several weeks and they only have the I-129F for days). But I would hope it's different if the mistake is on their side. Good luck!!!

yes, I will.  They lady started telling me about sending a request to change the embassy but when I told her my NOA2 had the right consulate, that's when she put me on hold and then came back and told me it was their mistake.

Stupid question!

upon rereading and update the USCIS app for like the millionth time each day since they received and updated the app to received 14th April.

ive just noticed in the app apart of the text blurb says "we will mail you a decision or notify you if we need anything else"

does that mean when we are approved (if that ever happens!) the app will not update and change or will it change like normal?

Long winded sorry!
