I wonder, is there a point in which you can call them after a certain number of weeks after they receive your RFE
@geowrian do you know? I've heard something about 6 weeks... am I correct?

I have a question regarding packet 4. Please help those who already have given interview or scheduled theirs.

Its been 3 weeks since the case is in ready state and yet no packet 4.

Is it mandatory for the interview? Anybody has similar experience for New delhi, India?

i have my medical done and interview scheduled, but packet 4 is still not received. Would it be ok giving interview without that?

I've read that packet 4 is just a set of instructions.

Thanks for the help and some answers :)

Congratulation!! Could you please help me with what's the process after receiving the packet from the local embassy? I too am from India.

Hi Thankyou!!

Sorry about the late reply. It took me a while before I received the Packet 4 by mail. However, I sent emails to US travel docs and they sent it by email.

Even before i received the packet 4 by email I had already applied for PCC. Sometimes it could take weeks before you receive it, so you might want to apply at your regional Passport office right away.

Once the email was received, I scheduled medical. Then I created an account on US travel docs, scheduled Bio metrics for a Wednesday and consular interview for Friday (K1 interviews for Mumbai consulate on Fridays only).

All the best.

Good morning all.  I have a question I am hoping someone can answer that has been through this.  We received our London case number this morning from the NVC (yay!).  Do we need to wait until the case gets to London to submit our DS-160 or can we go ahead and submit it now?  I know we can not schedule the interview until it reaches London and says ready but was hoping we could go ahead and get the DS-160 taken care of.  Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thank you for letting me know.  I'll call too and share their response.

I just called the National Visa Center and again they told me they have not received my case.  The lady said wait at least 30 days, so she recommended I call after April 29th.  I really don't understand why this is taking so long.

I will try to call the USEM here in Qatar by next week as i saw in there page that it is possible that the visa will be processed from there end.

Im not so sure if it is really possible but i will try to call them and check.

My fiance just called the US Embassy in Costa Rica and they told him, the application is not there yet and once the National Visa Center sends it, they will let him know.  But he has to wait for the documents to be sent to Costa Rica.  I hope you have better luck than me.

I haven't been following the latest developments, but what I have seen is they are still taking a week or so on average from receipt acknowledged to decision. However, the pending Nov. cases don't seem to be fitting into this trend...they are fairly consistently taking longer than the average.
