Ugh, at this rate it will take at least several more weeks to clear out November. This is so frustrating to see. I wish they would focus on these older cases, it likely wouldn't take them more than a few days to knock them out if they just focused on November. I guess I'll just have to trust the CSC random date madness method to continue. :clock:

Hello All,

We were APPROVED at the interview today!!!!

I will keep it to the point.

Reached consulate at 07:15 am for a 07:30 am interview. No bags and cellphones allowed. There are rickshaw drivers outside who provide locker facility at a bomb price.

Went through security and was in the waiting area within minutes. There were long queues for "Non immigrant" visas but for K1 applicants.

Documents were organised by a lovely Indian lady, she asked for the following.

1) i134
2) Employment letter and pay stubs (petitioner)
3) Tax returns and W2 for 2016 only.
4) I volunteered to give her bank statements for 6 months.
5) My birth certificate , original and copy; original was returned after.
6) Passport.

All seemed in order and I was asked to wait.

About 30 minutes later, I was called again, this time to be interviewed by an American Consul officer. He was very polite. Took my oath and interview begins, it seemed more like a conversation than an interview but here is what we discussed.

1) How did you guys meet?
2) When was she divorced?
3) How do my parents and her parents take to us getting together as she is "Pakistan origin"?
4) What are our plans for marriage?
5) Whether I read the domestic violence pamphlet?
6) A little about the children?

He asked me to wait for 2 minutes and he came back and said "Congratulations, your visa is approved"!!!

No proof of relationship needed or any uncomfortable questions asked. If your relationship is genuine and if you answer everything honestly, you won't have any trouble.

Good luck to everyone else who are waiting to get with their loved ones.

Congratulations👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Now I see what you are saying. I didn't realize how different the NOA2s are. No, mine says it was sent to NVC. Maybe Qatar has a different process? Makes sense that chauphuong didn't receive anything from NVC after so long. Wish I could be of more help with your situation.
