I am filing the I-134 Affidavit of Support in support of the K1-Visa process. I am struggling to try to figure out how to file number 38 on part 3 (I intend or do not intend...). To my understanding, the question is to provide SPECIFIC SUPPORTS I am going to provide my fiancee if I check INTEND. However, I intend to provide any support that she needs as we are going to live together.

Any help or clear explaintion would be much appreciated.

We struggled with that one as well, and in the end, we decided to tick "intend" (or even nothing at all) and then explain on the last page that there were not going to be any specific amounts, but instead mentioned the K1 (I think we labeled it something like "continuous support of fiancée or future spouse respectively with no set amount paid at any given time" or something along these lines). Now, granted, I haven't had my interview yet, but I guess you'll be fine with something like that.

The latest info from what I've seen others successfully do is to either don't mark it (not preferred), or to check off the intend and put the reason as "N/A (K-1 Visa Process)" or similar in Part 7.

I have a question. I had my interview last week Monday (04/10/2017) and I was approved. Tuesday, the CEAC status was changed to ISSUED from AP.

Then just right now, i checked the status and it said AP again. Can someone please advise me on what this means? I did not get a 221g or anything at all.

Thank you. 😁😁

This isn't anything abnormal. It'll switch back a forth a few times before actually being issued. Congrats!

I understand your worry, and I also know the urge to stare at your screen for minutes on end. Yet, in this situation, just close the window. I'm serious, although it might sound hard to do. Your status will jump back and forth as Geowrian has stated already, and since you were told that you are approved, you can expect your passport with the visa within a couple of days. Honestly, keep busy to take your mind off of CEAC for the moment.

Congrats on your visa approval. You'll be with your love soon :)

A question regarding packet 3/4 for those who're approved or waiting interview.

Did you schedule your interview before or after receiving the packet 4 from embassy?

Do they ask for anything during interview which is there in packet 4?

My case shows 'Ready'.

I want to schedule but have not yet received any letter from embassy. What to do? Wait or go ahead?

Embassy - New Delhi, India

Thanks :)

We were approved on April 10th and our petition and my hard copy  NOA2 was sent on April 10th or 11th. It says 2-4 weeks to process at NVC. Is that 2-4 weeks only counting business days? Should I make a copy of our hard copy of NOA2 and send it to my fiancé?

The 2-4 weeks is an estimate; recently, people have been waiting an average of 2-3 weeks (not only counting business days) for their petitions to reach the NVC. Most petitions only stay there for 2-3 days before they are sent to the respective embassies. I would say your petition will most likely reach the NVC later this or early next week; you can try your luck and start calling them and ask.

As for your NOA2 hard copy, I would scan it and send the scanned copy to your fiancé. As far as I know, you don't need the original for the interview, but I am not familiar with every embassy's procedures. However, since there is no signature required for NOA2, I think a (even digital) copy will be just fine (if it's needed at all). The embassy will have everything on file as well, but I would still make sure your fiancé gets a copy.

I hope I was able to help. Congrats on your approval; you will see that things move way faster post-USCIS :)

now paranoid as I (beneficiary) printed and signed my G-325a form then scanned/faxed it to my fiancé to allow to allow us to quickly post it back as mail from here to her takes around 14 days from the remote area I live.

they were looking for her adoption certificate so that was our request, will my G325-a be that much of an issue as they already have a copy each before these new ones!
