Me too. Since April 1st, 64% of all the remaining untouched Nov. filers have been touched. There's still a number of RFE responses needed to be adjudicated, but at least they're making decent progress getting the oldest cases out of the way.

@geowrian @AkesAngel or anyone who might know...Our December 27th case was approved on April 10th and I was wondering how long email notifications, hard copy of NOA2 takes to arrive, and whether or not there is anything sent my way or his way during the wait for NVC

Hello,

Your case will be at NVC a couple weeks before they send the approval notice in the mail.

I got text and email notification the same day NVC received my application.

I only received a hard copy of my approval notice In the mail one day prior to our application arriving at the embassy.

Just call for your NVC number 2 weeks after approval to get the ball rolling.  I suggest calling at 7:30am EST my call was answered as soon as I finished the prompts.

Good Luck.

AOS from K1

Delivered Aug 24

Recieved text notifications Aug 29

What Stephanie B suggests. That being said though, I always called NVC between 10 and 12am, and I've never waited longer than 5 minutes for anyone to answer my call. It took 13 days for our case to get to the NVC, and 14 days for us to get a case-#. Our physical NOA2 took about a week to reach us, but I wouldn't count on email notifications. However, emails are not all that important either; you will need your physical NOA2 for AOS later on, so even if you are not notified by email, don't worry about it. Also, because these things are sent by USCIS, they will be routed to the petitioner. After that, it depends on how the embassy in your country handles things. In our case, everything from now on will end up in my inbox and at my physical address (I'm the beneficiary).

Good luck with everything and congratulations to your USCIS-approval.

I was wondering if anyone has encountered the issue that we are dealing with regarding the Manila embassy.  We applied for the police clearance certificate from Hong Kong, which they sent directly to the embassy.  However, the Philippine postal service is holding the package and will not deliver it; they told me that the embassy would have to come pick it up.  When I related this to the embassy, they said they had never encountered this before, and they couldn't guarantee that they would even go pick it up.

This is the 2nd certificate that Hong Kong sent to the embassy....we have no idea of what happened to the first one since we weren't provided a tracking number.  When my fiancee went for her interview, everything was fine except for the certificate.  Now we are in limbo, since the certificate is sitting at the post office in Manila but the embassy may not pick it up.

Has anyone else had this issue before?  Since Hong Kong will not send the certificate to the applicant, but only to the embassy, I'm at wit's end as to what to do.  I call the embassy every day and have filed an escalation case, but other than that we are helpless.  Any help from anyone who has dealt with this would be greatly appreciated.

How long will USCIS keep your original documents (50 pages of our life which led to approval on April 10th) on file?  Asking because I never requested mine and didn't know if I should and how long I have before they toss them.

I'm not sure what you mean... USCIS will keep records for as long as they may still be needed. That may even be until after citizenship. But what do you mean that you never requested yours...? Anything you submit with the petitions or visa application may not be returned.

@geowrian when I call USCIS there's always an option to have your original package of all that info for NOA1 to be returned to you.  That's what I'm referring to.  I never requested mine to be returned to me and didn't know how long they keep all of that info filed away in case I want it back.
