Thats something that sponsor is filling out . Why you asking about it now . it suppose to be send with your application

That's incorrect. The I-134 is presented at the interview, not prior to it. It can be sent sooner, but updated supporting evidence would need to be brought anyway so there's no benefit in doing so.

Geowrian , I send it with my petition , sure it was required .Know that embassy wants updated proof of support or assets .(main reason so new alien don't become public charge)  But the question you marked in red is asking how sponsor become US citizen if not born in US and for number of US naturalization certificate . If born in US don't need to fill it out.Think person marks other box , as I remember.  Also they want copy of Naturalization certificate front and back even if back of certificate is blank . on my was just one tiny red mark in middle of page where stamp bled trough .

I agree with this. The affidavit of support is not needed on the petition you send to USCIS. People tend to include it on the packet they send but it is not necessary since they will still ask for it eventually on your interview day. Since they want to make sure that they have the most updated evidence of support.

For those that are in the process of filling out their i 134 are you leaving the assets portions and debt portion blank? I have read that if you make above poverty you can leave it blank but in the instructions it says to fill it out.

That's a great question. Anyone know the answer? - especially if student debt or credit card /revolving debt Should be included?

also, anyone know how soon is "too soon" to compete the i134? I'm a February filer but I just got my taxes done and want to get the I-134 document done with all the evidences. Is April too soon to compete it?

Per the I-134:

"if you are not a U.S. Citizen based on your birth in the United States...answer the following as appropriate."

So if the sponsor is a USC by birth in the US, then nothing in Part 1 for #11 or #12. No need to proceed if any other case is also met (i.e. also having USC parents).

If the sponsor is a USC by birth to a USC parent but not born in the US, then fill in 11.b and check the box. Also fill in #12.

Finally!!!

I sent it back and was received 2 business days later, then approved 2 business days after that. The average is about a week after acknowledging receipt of the RFE response, but obviously it depends on the nature of the RFE.

What was your RFE about if you don't mind sharing?

Sure. I met my fiancee via OK Cupid, so I needed to provide evidence that they were not an IMB. I had their customer support people send me an email confirming they were not an IMB, and sent that in the response.

Hello November thread!

Quick question for those filling out or have filled out the I-134... we can leave lines blank? We don't need to write N/A or None unless stated, right? For example if I don't have a middle name or child or spouse, can I leave those boxes blank?

Thanks in advance!

It probably doesn't matter since it's a real person looking at the form. That said, the instructions explicitly say (https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-134instr.pdf):

"Answer all questions fully and accurately. If a question does not apply to you (for example, if you have never been married and the question asks “Provide the name of your current spouse”), type or print “N/A,” unless otherwise directed. If your answer to a question which requires a numeric response is zero or none (for example, “How many children do you have” or “How many times have you departed the United States”), type or print “None,” unless otherwise directed."

As such, I filled it out using the instructions above, except noting that Part 3, #22, #24, #30, and #34 I used "None" for the names as per the explicit instructions to do so for those questions.

Ah ok.. thank you! I had printed it out with the boxes blank, but then read the instructions afterwards. I just wanted to make sure if folks were writing in N/A or had written N/A. It's probably safer to follow the instructions... so I will do that!

I just want to move on with our lives together...

I just got federal jury duty summons for July, sent them a message saying I'll be gone until July 9th and low-and-behold they give me a partial excuse for the month of July right up until July 9th (Thanks! Its not like I get in on the 10th at 8am or anything after flying all night long). I know one thing has nothing to do with the other but seriously I'm so fed up right now with this system.

I got a jury summons here in the UK for the judicial year beginning 1st July.  It came with a warning that it was an offence not to complete the form and reurn it to them within 14 days - which I did.
