Again, thank you so much for this. I just wonder why they skip applications. Any idea why? Some days show zero cases touched. Makes me think they skip papers that aren't that easy to run through. I don't know, but it's just weird that they do that.

@geowrian gave a really good answer to this question a few pages back (as it has been asked 'once or twice' before).  Go look at his posts by clicking on his profile or take some time to skim through some of the recent pages.

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question:

On the Receipt Notice that I got from USCIS, they stated the name of my beneficiary: NGO, PHUONG

I clearly filled out the form with Phuong as first name and Ngo as last name. I am wondering if they got it reversed or they were stating the name as LAST NAME, FIRST NAME?

It looks like LAST NAME. FIRST NAME.   If it was FIRST NAME LAST NAME, there would be no comma.

hello,

I really need your help, I'm confused about the embassy process. our case has been at the embassy for about 2 weeks now, how long should I wait before contacting them? are they suppose to send packet 3 to me (petitioner) or my fiance (applicant)? should I fill out the D-160 form and then the embassy contact us or should I wait for them to contact us?

Your help is really appreciated.

Thank you all

For the Cairo  Embassy, Packet 3 is an email from the embassy sent to the petitioner.

Also when I check CEAC website it doesn't say AP. Abbreviated or spelled out. It just says "At NVC".

Any idea whats going on?  Come on VJ'ers I'm counting on you!!

Mine said the same thing, but when I called they'd say it was in administrative processing. I freaked out too. Asked if there was something that I could do, or if they had anymore information on my case. They kindly responded no each day I called. Then I checked today on ceacstattracker and it says IN TRANSIT!!!! It was there at NVC since March 9th. They say it could take about 4 weeks for a case. Mine was close to it. Hang in there!! It's coming for you.

Hi, everyone, I am a bit worried here. I had my visa interview last week and I got approved for sure. And my ceac status has always been administrative processing. But since yesterday the website simply shows that the search did not return any data. And I tracked my passport on the website, it says my passport is still with the us embassy,

so why I can't see my ceac status now? Pls help!!

Hey good people, I have an inquiry here. am filling in the Ds 160 but for some reason, on the family tab of the form under fiancé, it saves my fiance's state and zip code but when i go back to review the form, the state and zip code have disappeared. I have tried to exit and sign in again but still no change. I do not know why. Have you ever heard of this happening before?
