Hi all.

So I'm back to my country after visiting my fiance in the U.S.  and I'm really, really depressed.  It's getting harder to keep on waiting, I am so angry at those receiving their NOA2 although I know it isn't their fault.

I'm exhausted and I really want to get over with this process. It's draining my mental health.

Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this after visiting their loved ones?  I'm going crazy.

Your frustration is understandable.  That said, many of us are still waiting who have NOA1 dates back in November.  If your timeline is correct I don't think anyone would expect you'd have an NOA2 by now.

Approved NOA 2 on March 1. Still waiting for NVC case number. Will call later this week for update.

You have to call them to receive the new number.

Please remember that there are plenty of people here who are also waiting, that haven't had the pleasure of a recent trip to see their significant other. Everyone's in this together and the system is designed to get everyone to the States eventually, there won't be much longer to wait.

Hey everyone I need your help, advice or insight. I called the NVC to check on the status of the K1 already have the NVC case number and I was told it's in administrative processing.

I am totally freaking out here. Why in the heck would it be in AP at the NVC?

Can anyone shed any light as to why this is happening and what if anything I can do?

Also when I check CEAC website it doesn't say AP. Abbreviated or spelled out. It just says "At NVC".

Any idea whats going on?  Come on VJ'ers I'm counting on you!!

AP is an extremely broad category and doesn't indicate that anything is wrong. If you contacted them and they aren't waiting on anything from you, then it's just a matter of waiting. If you didn't contact them, it won't hurt to ask and be sure they aren't waiting on anything from you.

Day 118 since NOA1, do you think there is any point of trying to call them once we cross 120 days?

No I don't think there is any point in calling them, I did that and they said the normal junk they always say. You can watch the USCIS processing times for CSC and wait for that date to pass your date then you can give them a call and they should be able to answer some questions or open a case inquiry at the very least.

What part of WI are you from?

:( I am sorry, it sucks having to wait to be with the one you love and I agree it is mentally draining. When I went to Chile in January and left without our NOA2 I sobbed and sobbed, it was horrible, I wanted to leave with the idea that ok a few more months and I can be with him forever, but those few more months haven't quite found their termination date yet. The only thing that helps me sometimes is remembering that THIS is the LAST thing we have to do to be together for the rest of our lives and believe me, I'm going EVERYWHERE he's going once that day happens that we never have to part again.

For those still waiting on their NOA2, it will come and things start to move as quickly as you want them too once it reaches your embassy.  I saw this online earlier hopefully some humor can ease your waiting for today :lol:
