!s there a way to find out if NVC received case  without calling them ?

No unfortunately there is not, but once you get your case number you can go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx to track it.

 

Make sure that when you get your case number you get the Invoice number as well as Beneficiary number. You will need them both for future forms. Also, my fiance's email was not on file (needed for the embassy to contact them once the visa arrives at the embassy) So just double check that they have it on file. 

 

The people at NVC are really nice and open to answering any questions you have. I talked to a woman for almost 20 min and she helped clarify some things that were confusing to me and she was really helpful!

Hi everyone have a question was looking at my timeline how come the dates changed I no not to go by that but the dates changed and was wondering why ??

The dates on your timeline for estimated NOA-2 will change continually as more users input data on their dates of NOA-1 and NOA-2. The site may have limited data, but working with what it has, adjusts its projected timeline for you based on others' input.

Because the data from users' VJ profiles change, which changes VJ's calculation of how fast USCIS is going. As users enter more (recent) data, VJ has a better idea of how long a average petition it currently taking to process.

Okay thank you but we shouldn't go by that date correct because it can be anytime and it's not 100%

Yes, just like Geowrian and I said, it's only an estimate and that date will constantly change. Don't go by it. Pretty much the only reliable indicator of what dates applications are being processed is Geowrian's nightly updates.

Typically it is around 8 PM west coast US time (PST) that they release the results; RFE results may come in throughout the day but approvals are released around 8 PM. This is why Geowrian posts his nightly scan later in the evening. It will update on both the USCIS iPhone Case Tracker App and USCIS.gov website. 

 

Edit: It updates on the Android app too, I just posted the other one because I have an iPhone.

You don't need to check it if you have notifications switched on.  It will let you know when your noa2 has been processed. You will get an alert on your screen.

 

Mine came through at about 10am here (2am California time)
